Brookfield and Elm Grove Police Report: July 17

CITY OF BROOKFIELD

Theft

1A wallet was stolen from Assured Mortgage, Inc., 12660 W. Capitol Drive, at approximately 11 a.m. on July 7. The wallet was removed from a purse under a desk and one of the victim's credit cards was later used at two different locations.

2Two female subjects were cited for municipal retail theft after they concealed merchandise in fitting rooms at Kohl's, 2315 N. 124th St., around 4:30 p.m. on July 7.

3A stand mixer valued at $300 was taken from Bed, Bath and Beyond, 605 Main St., at 11:53 a.m. on July 8. Three subjects, two female and one male, placed the mixer in a cart and left without paying.

4Fifteen cans of baby formula valued at $233.87 was stolen from Metro Market, 17630 W. Bluemound Road at 1:12 p.m. on July 8.

5A stereo speaker valued at $199.99 was stolen from AT&T, 17365 W. Bluemound Road, at 5:48 p.m. on July 8.

6Two vacuums were stolen from Kohl's, 2315 N. 124th St., at 8:27 p.m. on July 8. Other cases of stolen vacuums have been reported in recent weeks.

7A catalytic converter valued at approximately $1,500 was sawed off of a service truck parked at Brookfield Party Rental, 12630 Robin Lane, between the hours of 7 p.m. on July 8 and 7 a.m. on July 9.

8An employee of Sears, 115 S. Moorland Road, was arrested at 2:15 p.m. on July 9 after creating fraudulent gift cards totaling $341.56 and using them.

9A bicycle was stolen from in front of Walgreens, 2205 N. Calhoun Road, at around 10:46 a.m. on July 10.

10A backpack, wallet, phone, iPod, and clothing were stolen from a locker at Xperience Fitness, 12575 W. Capitol Drive, between 2:30 p.m. and 3:37 p.m. on July 10.

11An 18 year-old male subject was arrested for retail theft at 2 p.m. on July 11 after concealing merchandise at Boston Store, 15875 W. Bluemound Road.

12A 20 year-old female subject was arrested for retail theft after concealing $56 worth of merchandise at around 4 p.m. on July 12 at JC Penney, 95 N. Moorland Road.

Impaired driving

13A 29 year-old male subject was arrested for drunken driving at 12:46 a.m. on July 12 on I-94 West at S. Moorland Road.

TOWN OF BROOKFIELD

Burglary

14$25 in cash was taken from a vehicle parked in a locked garage at a residence in the 1400 block of Stonefield Court sometime during the night of July 5 or early morning of July 6. The screen of the garage's service door had a cut in it that was not present at the owner's last observation and officers believe it may have been used to unlock the door.

Theft

15A GPS valued at $300 was taken from a vehicle parked at the Majestic Theater, 770 Springdale Road, sometime between 7 p.m. and 9:05 p.m. on June 24. A person was previously observed disposing of a latex glove into a set of bushes. When asked why he was wearing the glove, the subject claimed that he had Hepatitis C and didn't want to infect anyone. Attempts to contact the subject by officers after learning of the missing property were unsuccessful.

16A catalytic converter was stolen from a truck at Great Fire Protection, 21850 Watertown Road, sometime between June 20 and July 1.

17$700 in cash and other miscellaneous belongings were taken from three vehicles at a residence in the 1200 block of Ridge Road sometime during the night of July 5 or early morning of July 6. None of the vehicles were locked.

18$100 was taken from a vehicle parked at a residence in the 1400 block of Stonefield Court sometime between 9 p.m. on July 5 and 9:30 a.m. on July 6. The vehicle was unlocked.

19$25 in cash was taken from a vehicle parked at a residence in the 1200 block of Cherokee Drive sometime between 11 p.m. on July 5 and 2 p.m. on July 6. The vehicle was unlocked.

20A television valued at $600 was stolen from a room at Motel 6, 20300 W. Bluemound Road, sometime between 8:47 p.m. on July 7 and 2:20 p.m. on July 8.

21A 2014 Subaru Outback and a MacBook laptop were stolen from a residence in the 1100 block of Gray Fox Hollow. The complainant identified a suspect as having lived at the residence for the last two months; however, sometime between 2 a.m. and 9 a.m. on July 8, the suspect was told he was no longer welcome at the residence and allegedly took the property without consent.

Impaired driving

22A 21 year-old female was arrested for drunken driving at 2:05 a.m. on July 4 at N. Barker Road and W. Bluemound Road.

Other

23A 44 year-old male and a 42 year-old female subject were arrested and cited for battery and disorderly conduct after a physical altercation around 5:49 a.m. on July 3 at Motel 6, 20300 W. Bluemound Road.

VILLAGE OF ELM GROVE

Impaired driving

24A man was arrested at 3:34 p.m. on July 9 for drunken driving after he was involved in a hit and run accident in the 12700 block of W. Bluemound Road. The man was also cited for Hit and Run.
