Brookfield and Elm Grove Police Report: July 10

CITY OF BROOKFIELD

Burglary

1An unknown subject attempted to pry open a window at BMO Harris Bank, 16570 W. Bluemound Road, sometime between 6 p.m. on June 30 and 9:40 a.m. on July 1. Entry was not gained.

2A purse was taken from an apartment in the 17200 block of River Birch Drive sometime between 9 a.m. on July 3 and 6 a.m. on July 4. The subject is believed to have pried a screen off of an unsecured bedroom window in order to enter the apartment.

Theft

3Twenty-five 5-Hour Energy shots valued at $339.21 were stolen from Pick 'n Save, 12735 W. Capitol Drive, at approximately 8:10 p.m. on June 24.

4$397.81 worth of antacids and whitening strips were stolen from Pick 'n Save, 12735 W. Capitol Drive, around 12:20 p.m. on June 26.

5Two vacuum cleaners valued at $579 each were stolen by a female subject from Kohl's, 2315 N. 124th St., at approximately 4:31 p.m. on June 30. The subject is believed to be the same suspect from a similar crime on June 28.

6$504 worth of merchandise was stolen from Pick 'n Save, 17295 W. Capitol Drive, at 2:14 p.m. on June 30. Two female and one male subject were seen on video surveillance committing the theft.

7A 23 year-old male subject was arrested for felony retail theft after being caught attempting to steal from Pick 'n Save, 12735 W. Capitol Drive, at 5:50 p.m. on June 30. The subject also admitted to committing theft on June 27 at Target.

8A purse containing an iPhone valued at $300, a debit card, and a driver's license was taken from the auxiliary gym at Brookfield Central High School, 16900 Gebhardt Road, sometime between 9 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. on July 1.

9Two female subjects were arrested for retail theft after attempting to conceal items and leave without paying for them at 1:23 p.m. on July 1 at JC Penney, 95 N. Moorland Road.

10A backpack containing a laptop, passport, books, and papers with a total estimated value of $1,500 was taken from an unlocked vehicle at the DoubleTree, 18155 W. Bluemound Road, sometime between 5 p.m. and 8:49 p.m. on July 2.

11Three laptops, cameras, a wallet, and other miscellaneous items were taken from the trunk of a car parked at Country Inn & Suites, 1250 S. Moorland Road, sometime between 6:57 p.m. and 8:57 p.m. on July 2.

12Two GPS devices, a Coach bag, a camera, camera equipment, and an envelope containing $300 was taken from a car at the DoubleTree, 18155 W. Bluemound Road, sometime during the night of July 2 or early morning of July 3. The complainant insists that the car was locked although there were no signs of forced entry.

13Four tires valued at $5,600 were taken from a vehicle at Jack Safro Toyota, 20445 W. Capitol Drive, sometime before 9:30 a.m. on July 6.

Impaired driving

14A 20 year-old male subject was arrested and cited for drunk driving at 2:23 a.m. on July 1 at S. Moorland Road and Carpenter Road.

TOWN OF BROOKFIELD

Theft

15A 2010 Ford Focus was stolen from the 2700 block of Flagstone Drive sometime between 2 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. on June 26. The vehicle also contained clothes, an iPad, a laptop, and a wallet. The vehicle was unlocked and the keys were left in the vehicle.

16A briefcase with a calculator in it was stolen from a vehicle in the parking lot of the Majestic Theater, 770 Springdale Road, sometime before 11:03 p.m. on July 1. The rear, driver's side passenger window had been smashed.

17A purse, three Coach clutches, $300 cash, a camera, three necklaces, and other items with a total value of $1,065 were taken from a vehicle in the parking lot of the Majestic Theater, 770 Springdale Road sometime before 11:21 p.m. on July 1. The front passenger window had been smashed.

18A pair of headphones valued at $250 was taken from a vehicle in the parking lot of the Majestic Theater, 770 Springdale Road, sometime before 11:40 p.m. on July 1. The front passenger window had been smashed.

Drug possession

19A 19 year-old female subject was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at N. Brookfield Road and Black Forest Drive at 8:18 p.m. on June 27.

20A 24 year-old female subject was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at W. Bluemound Road and Fiserv Drive at 8:21 p.m. on June 27.

Other

21A 20 year-old former female employee of Olive Garden, 18180 W. Bluemound Road, was cited for unlawful use of a telephone and harassment after sending threatening text messages on June 13 to two employees of Olive Garden and making belligerent phone calls to the restaurant to place fake orders.

VILLAGE OF ELM GROVE

Theft

22An iPod valued at $250 was stolen on a school bus which was en route to Tonawanda Elementary School sometime around 12:45 p.m. on June 25.

Vandalism

23An unknown subject vandalized a vehicle in the 13300 block of Wrayburn Road sometime between 10 p.m. on June 28 and 1 p.m. on June 29. The subject scratched an expletive into the side of the vehicle.
