CITY OF BROOKFIELD

Burglary

1A home was broken into in the 12700 block of Cardinal Crest Drive sometime between 9:40 a.m. and 1:58 p.m. on June 8. Someone broke the latch on the back door and removed a screen from a window on the back porch. Two upstairs bedrooms were rummaged through and three rings, approximately 20 silver dollars and four to six World War II military medals were taken.

Theft

2A bass guitar valued at $2,380 was stolen sometime between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. on May 30 from Guitar Center, 17135 W. Bluemound Road.

3A catalytic converter was stolen out of a Guhring, Inc. truck sometime between 5 p.m. May 30 and 7 a.m. June 2 at 1455 N. Barker Road.

4An iPhone was stolen from an employee at Boston Store, 15875 W. Bluemound Road, around 10:32 p.m. June 2. The employee stated she set her bag down to assist a customer, and the phone was missing when she looked back.

5A wallet was stolen sometime between 10 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. on June 3 in the 21600 block of Astolat Drive. The wallet contained a library card, a driver's license, a checkbook, two credit cards, a debit card and two gift cards. The credit and debit cards contained fraudulent charges on them totaling between $730 and $1,030 before being canceled.

6Two debit cards were taken from a purse inside a car sometime between June 3 and 9:30 a.m. June 5 in the 800 block of Adelmann Ave. Transactions on the debit cards were recorded and totaled $500.

7A Leo Diamond was stolen from Kessler's Jewelers, 17620 W. Bluemound Road, at around 1:11 p.m. on June 4. The person asked to see the diamond and then grabbed it from an employee before fleeing.

8A laptop and computer bag were stolen from a car sometime between 8 p.m. on June 4 and 6 a.m. on June 5 in the 1000 block of Adelmann Ave. The complainant was unsure if the doors had been locked..

9Credit cards and $80 in cash were taken from a wallet in a vehicle in the 900 block of Lois Ave. between 9:30 p.m. June 5 and 7:20 a.m. June 6.

10A person was cited for retail theft after concealing clothes and leaving without paying at JC Penney, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 4:38 p.m. June 5. The person exited the store but was later caught and admitted to the theft.

11A white 2011 Chevy Malibu was taken from a driveway in the 400 block of N. Park Blvd. sometime during the night of June 5 and the morning of June 6.

12A pair of jeans was stolen from Buckle, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 7:46 p.m. June 6. The person entered the fitting rooms and exited wearing a pair of jeans under her pants. An employee tracked the person down in the parking lot, but the person struck the employee with a closed fist before driving away.

13A cell phone and a box of candy bars, valued at $623, were stolen from an office at Boston Store, 15875 W. Bluemound Road, sometime around 6:45 p.m. June 7.

14A blue 2005 Hyundai Elantra was stolen sometime between 7 p.m. June 7 and 1:02 a.m. June 8 from the City Hall parking lot, 2000 N. Calhoun Road. The complainants stated the car had been parked while they attended an event at St. John Vianney Parish, 1755 N. Calhoun Road.

15The display sign for Vino Cappuccino, 2848 N. Brookfield Road, was taken sometime between 11:30 p.m. June 7 and 1:21 p.m. June 8. The sign is valued at $400.

16Two roof racks, valued at $700, were stolen from the top of a vehicle at Mike Juneau's Brookfield Buick GMC, 13000 W. Capitol Drive. The complainant was not sure when they were taken as a customer pointed out that they were missing.

Drug offenses

17A person was arrested for possession of THC, as well as for two warrants through the Iowa County Sheriff's Office near N. 124th St. and W. Burleigh Road at 8:24 p.m. June 2.

Impaired driving

18A man was arrested for drunken driving near N. 124th St. and Cardinal Crest Drive at 10:06 p.m. June 2.

19A man was arrested for drunken driving near N. Sunnyslope Road and W. Bluemound Road at 12:53 a.m. June 5.

20A man was arrested for drunken driving in the 1200 block of S. Moorland Road at 12:01 a.m. June 6.

21A man was arrested for drunken driving near Gebhardt Road and N. Calhoun Road at 12:52 a.m. June 6.

Other

22Four bottle bombs were set off in front of a home in the 18000 block of Bell Tower Court at around 11:40 p.m. June 2. The complainant was awakened by a number of loud booms. The bottle bombs were found having been set off near the front porch area.

Other

23$1000 in counterfeit U.S. travelers checks were accepted at Best Buy, 19555 W. Bluemound Road, during two separate transactions at 3:14 p.m. and 8:10 p.m. May 31. The person made two separate purchases of $420.39.

24A man was cited for illegal littering and dumping at Blackforest Drive and Timberline Drive at 12:08 p.m. June 5. A caller complained about a man dumping bags of yard waste and branches from his vehicle. When confronted, he sped away. Police arrived and observed 25 to 35 plastic bags filled with yard waste including sticks and rotting wood. Police later executed a traffic stop on a vehicle matching the caller's description. The man denied having dumped the bags.

VILLAGE OF ELM GROVE

Theft

25Two people were arrested for retail theft after concealing merchandise totaling $426.78 in value from Walgreen's, 15350 W. Bluemound Road.

Impaired driving

26A woman was arrested for drunken driving in the 15300 block of W. Bluemound Road at 9:33 p.m. June 6.
