City of Brookfield

THEFT

1Four boxes of teeth whitening strips, a collective value of $206, were taken at Pick 'n Save, 12735 W. Capitol Drive, at 10:57 a.m. May 5. The suspect is described as a black man, 30 to 45 years old, standing 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds. Police are reviewing surveillance footage.

2A customer's cellphone was taken at Pick 'n Save, 12735 W. Capitol Drive, about 4 p.m. May 5. An app on the phone revealed it was located near 55th and Burleigh streets in Milwaukee.

3A 2005 Pontiac G6 was taken from a parking lot in the 17400 block of West North Avenue between 1 and 1:45 p.m. May 6. The vehicle was unlocked at the time of the incident.

4A 16-year-old boy and 18-year-old man, both of Milwaukee, were arrested for taking merchandise at TJ Maxx, 17460 W. Bluemound Road, at 4:50 p.m. May 7.

5A 54-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for taking perfume at JCPenney inside Brookfield Square Mall, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 12:35 p.m. May 8.

6Assorted tools valued at $300 were taken from a vehicle in the 400 block of South Moorland Road about 2:45 p.m. May 8.

7A 31-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for taking $9,360 worth of food at Pick 'n Save, 12735 W. Capitol Drive, at 10:51 a.m. May 9. The woman took the food during an 18-month period of time. She was an employee at the time of her arrest.

8A 46-year-old West Bend man was arrested for taking razor blades and toothpaste valued at $50 at Sendik's, 2315 N. 124th St., at 11:44 a.m. May 9.

9A 15-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy were arrested for taking merchandise at five stores inside Brookfield Square, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 2:25 p.m. May 10.

10A customer's purse was taken at Sears, 115 S. Moorland Road, at 3:56 p.m. May 10. The purse contained medication, a cellphone and $2,000. No surveillance footage was available.

DRUG POSSESSION

11A 58-year-old Brookfield man was arrested for possession of marijuana and crack cocaine in the 1200 block of South Moorland Road at 1:07 p.m. May 6. The case has been forwarded to the Waukesha County District Attorney's Office.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

12A 53-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving near River and Brookfield roads at 8:26 p.m. May 5.

13A 22-year-old Brookfield man was arrested for drunken driving near Bluemound and Brookfield roads at 10:26 p.m. May 5. He also was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

14A 23-year-old Nashotah man was arrested for drunken driving near Brookfield and Fresno roads at 1:05 a.m. May 8. A blood test was taken to determine his blood-alcohol content.

15A 37-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving near Pilgrim Parkway and Watertown Plank Road at 8:50 p.m. May 10. A blood test was taken to determine his BAC.

16A 34-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving in the 300 block of South Moorland Road at 12:36 a.m. May 11. This was his second offense.

VANDALISM

17A pane of glass was broken on a window at a home in the 200 block of South Rosedale Drive before 11:36 a.m. May 5. The property owner was uncertain whether the damage was the result of vandalism or a bird flying into the window.

18A speed counter device parked near Burlawn Parkway and Wembley Circle Lower was covered in spray paint before 9:11 a.m. May 9. The device is owned by the City of Brookfield Police Department.

19A window was smashed on a vehicle in the 13900 block of West Burleigh Road between 3 and 8 p.m. May 9. Nothing inside the vehicle is believed to have been taken.

ASSAULT

20A 27-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for striking a passenger on a Milwaukee County Transit Bus parked outside Brookfield Square, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 7:10 p.m. May 5.

OTHER

21A 17-year-old student was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia at Brookfield East High School, 3305 Lilly Road, at 2:41 p.m. May 5.

22An unidentified man touched an employee at Aldo Shoes inside Brookfield Square, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 2:18 p.m. May 9. The man followed the employee to the store's backroom and put his arms around her waist. He then attempted unsuccessfully to kiss the employee before fleeing the store. Police are reviewing surveillance footage.

THEFT

23Two sets of floor mats valued at $200 were taken at Jack Safro Toyota, 20445 W. Capitol Drive, before 11:31 a.m. May 10.

Village of Elm Grove

BURGLARY

24It appeared someone broke into a home in the 15300 block of Marilyn Drive between 7:30 a.m. and 9 p.m. May 5. A door handle to the residence was broken and the door was ajar. The resident said things had been moved around but she wasn't aware of anything missing.

ASSAULT

25A woman living in the 15200 block of Marilyn Drive said a man wearing a ski mask broke into her house about 7 p.m. May 12, held a knife to her and choked her. The police report said she was unable to give specific details and often changed her story, but she said she was able to get the man to leave and nothing was taken.

IMPAIRED DRIVING

26A man was arrested for driving while intoxicated and reckless driving causing bodily harm in the 700 block of Pilgrim Parkway about 8:45 p.m. May 10. Another driver called police to report a possible drunken driver shortly before the suspected driver collided with another car. The driver admitted to consuming intoxicants and was sent to Waukesha County Jail.

OTHER

27A mother called police about 8:30 a.m. May 8 asking police to patrol the 13400 block of Watertown Plank Road by Tonawanda Elementary after school for the safety of bikers. She said her son had been bumped by a car while on his bike a couple days earlier. Police asked her to come to the station for bicycle safety pamphlets to give to her kids.

· Police made one arrest for domestic violence.
