City of Brookfield

BURGLARY

1A purse with a wallet containing between $20 and $30 and assorted credit cards was taken from an unlocked apartment in the 13600 block of West Burleigh Road before 11:37 a.m. April 25.

THEFT

2A videogame system and backpack with clothes were taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 13500 block of Kenmar Court before 3:54 p.m. April 21.

3A 2002 GMC pickup truck was taken outside Hometown Hospice and Home Care, 13255 W. Bluemound Road, about 9:42 a.m. April 23. Keys were left in the truck's ignition.

4A 16-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested for taking a bottle of vodka valued at $12 at Piggly Wiggly, 2315 N. 124th St., at 10:03 a.m. April 23. The boy attempted to hide the bottle in his pants.

5A customer's wallet containing assorted credit cards was taken at Pick 'n Save, 12735 W. Capitol Drive, before 5 p.m. April 23. A credit card was used to make several unauthorized transactions.

6A bike valued at $700 was taken from a garage in the 4300 block of North 148th Street before 10:54 a.m. April 25.

7Several pieces of clothing were taken at Burlington Coat Factory, 12575 W. Capitol Drive, at 12:52 p.m. April 25.

8A 29-year-old Brookfield woman was arrested for taking $520 worth of merchandise at Kohl's, 2315 N. 124th St., at 5:17 p.m. April 26.

9A cellphone was taken at AT&T Store, 17365 W. Bluemound Road, at 5:47 p.m. April 26.

10A laptop valued at $750 was taken from a vehicle at Best Western Midway Hotel, 1005 S. Moorland Road, at 6:31 p.m. April 26.

DRUG POSSESSION

11A 22-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of marijuana at Boston Store, 15875 W. Bluemound Road, at 2:50 p.m. April 26. Police initially stopped the man because he was acting suspiciously.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

12A 28-year-old Brookfield man was arrested for drunken driving in the 13900 block of Tulane Street at 1:45 a.m. April 26. This was his second offense. Results from the man's blood-alcohol content test are pending.

13A 22-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving near Bluemound and Calhoun roads at 1:46 a.m. April 27. Her BAC was not available.

ASSAULT

14A 20-year-old Oconomowoc man was cited for punching an employee in the face at Pet Supplies Plus, 18610 W. Bluemound Road, at 8:29 p.m. April 26.

VANDALISM

15The side of a vehicle was damaged by a sharp object in the 16900 block of Gebhardt Road at 3:46 p.m. April 25.

16Wires leading to a strand of decorative lights were cut in a yard in the 21500 block of Lancelot Drive before 10:38 a.m. April 26.

OTHER

17A 60-year-old Brookfield man was warned for causing a disturbance at the Brookfield Police Station, 2100 N. Calhoun Road, at 5:50 p.m. April 22. The man was yelling in the lobby, expressing frustration about a previously issued citation. Police directed the man to take the steps necessary to contest the citation in court.

18A 23-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for trespassing at Guaranty Bank, 12655 W. Capitol Drive, at 10:36 a.m. April 24. The woman had been previously ordered not to enter the premises of any Guaranty Bank branch.

19An 18-year-old man and 18-year-old woman, both of Brookfield, were cited for underage drinking in the 16900 block of West Gebhardt Road at 9:30 p.m. April 26.

· Police made one arrest related to a domestic dispute last week.

Town of Brookfield

BURGLARY

20Twelve pieces of jewelry, a value of $25,260, and $400 to $500 cash were taken from a home in the 21400 block of Hallendale Court between 1:30 and 3:05 p.m. April 22. Access was gained by forcing open a rear door.

THEFT

21A catalytic converter was taken off a vehicle outside Behr Enterprises, 21700 Doral Road, before 8:04 a.m. April 23.

DRUG POSSESSION

22A 21-year-old Wauwatosa woman was arrested for possession of 0.3 grams of marijuana near Water Tower Boulevard and Barker Road at 5:21 p.m. April 24. The woman initially was stopped for having a suspended license and also was cited for that offense.

Village of Elm Grove

THEFT

23A student at Pilgrim Park Middle School, 1500 Pilgrim Parkway, reportedly took three Netbook tablets, each worth at least $250, from the school April 18. The student's mother later returned them to the school and police were called about 9 a.m. April 23. The Waukesha County District Attorney's Office is reviewing the case for possible charges.

24A gift bag and several cosmetic items were taken from Walgreens, 15350 W. Bluemound Road, about 9 p.m. April 26. The theft was discovered after reviewing video surveillance.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

25A person was arrested for drunken driving and possession of drug paraphernalia near Bluemound and Moorland roads about noon March 27. Officers found a partially empty bottle of whisky, a Miller Lite can and a marijuana pipe in the car.

OTHER

26A customer at Yamato Sushi House, 12900 W. Bluemound Road, said her hair was singed by a chef's flame about 8 p.m. April 25. The girl said she was leaning forward and reading a book when an employee ignited the grill. She was not injured.

27A Canadian Pacific train stalled out trying to climb a hill in Elm Grove, coming to a stop and blocking crossings at Juneau Boulevard and Watertown Plank Road, about 1 a.m. April 27. The train was moving again by 1:45 a.m.

· Police made one arrest for domestic violence.
