No one was injured in an electrical fire at Bishop's Woods offices Jan. 30, although there was some damage to the electrical system, according to City of Brookfield Fire Department officials.

Firefighters responded to reports of a fire at the complex, 13845 Bishops Drive, about noon Jan. 30.

Assistant Fire Chief David Mason said the electrical system had malfunctioned, causing a flash in the basement that ignited nearby cardboard boxes.

Maintenance workers in the building found and extinguished the fire with hand extinguishers, he said. They had it under control when firefighters arrived.

People in the offices already had evacuated themselves.

The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
