City of Brookfield

THEFT

1An 18-volt drill, a tool kit and other equipment were stolen from a business in the 100 block of Bishops Way between Jan. 10 and Jan. 14. Loss is estimated at $8,250.

2A wallet was stolen from a vehicle at the Best Western hotel, 1005 S. Moorland Road, between Jan. 10 and Jan. 17.

3Electronics were reported stolen at Target, 12725 W. Bluemound Road, about 1 p.m. Jan. 13. The store had surveillance video of the theft.

4A sale banner for Anytime Fitness along Civic Drive was reported stolen at 3 p.m. Jan. 14.

· A Brookfield man reported Jan. 14 that three unauthorized charges had been made to his credit card. The total amount charged was $136.

5A 23-year-old man was arrested for stealing five jackets from REI, 13100 W. Capitol Drive, at 11 a.m. Jan. 16. Each jacket was valued at $250. The case has been referred to the district attorney's office.

6A 24-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting at Party City, 16900 W. Bluemound Road, at noon Jan. 17.

7A 22-year-old woman was arrested for stealing bras from Victoria's Secret at Brookfield Square Mall, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 5 p.m. Jan. 17.

DRUG POSSESSION

8A 16-year-old student was cited for possession of a controlled substance after staff at Brookfield East High School, 3305 Lilly Road, discovered THC in his coat pocket Jan. 13.

OTHER

9A 21-year-old woman was arrested for trespassing after being identified at Victoria's Secret in Brookfield Square Mall, 95 N. Moorland Road, at noon Jan. 14. The woman was a known shoplifter and had been banned from the mall.

THEFT

10A vehicle was stolen from the Menards parking lot, 20005 W. Bluemound Road, between 6:40 p.m. Jan. 13 and 6 a.m. Jan. 14. Several rolls of copper wire, valued at more than $17,000, were stolen from a locked trailer bed located in the parking lot.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

11A 20-year-old man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at Barker and Watertown roads about 3:45 a.m. Jan. 13. The man also was arrested for possession of THC and drug paraphernalia, in addition to being cited for driving without insurance and deviating from the designated driving lane. His breath test showed a blood-alcohol content of 0.10.

12A man was arrested for taking a pair of frames from Wisconsin Vision, 12876 W. Bluemound Road, about 4 p.m. Jan. 20.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

13A man was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 1400 block of Fairhaven Boulevard about 8:30 p.m. Jan. 20 after a caller said her kids tried to help him out of a ditch and noticed he may have been drinking.

DRUG POSSESSION

14A man was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after officers found his backpack stashed behind a tree at Watertown Plank Road and Morningside Lane about 9:15 a.m. Jan. 14. The bag contained a pipe, a bottle of Bacardi and his driver's license. When contacted, the man admitted the items were his.
