City of Brookfield

BURGLARY

1A woman who lives in the 17600 block of Nassau Drive who had been incarcerated from May to November reported Nov. 27 that the friend staying in her home during the summer stole several items and pawned them.

2A car parked in the 16000 block of Spruce Lane was broken into between 4:20 p.m. Nov. 26 and 11 a.m. Nov. 27. A window was smashed and a Dell laptop was stolen from the front seat. Footprints in the snow indicate the perpetrator then went through the backyards of homes near Dane Court West and up to other cars parked in driveways east of there.

3Two locked cars were broken into in the 4100 block of Fountain Plaza Drive between 9 p.m. Nov. 26 and 9 a.m. Nov. 27. Change and electronics were taken.

4A truck in the 4100 block of Pilgrim Road was broken into about 1 a.m. Nov. 29. A GPS device and hunting gear were taken. Home surveillance video shows two people entering the truck and taking the items, valued at $1,200.

5A car in the 17500 block of West Bluemound Road was broken into between 8 and 9:30 a.m. Nov. 30. A window was broken, and a $200 phone and a $40 purse containing $460 in cash and $300 worth of personal checks were taken.

THEFT

6A woman took four or five polo shirts valued at $500 from a store at 17445 W. Bluemound Road about 3:15 p.m. Nov. 25.

7A 13-year-old girl was cited for retail theft for stealing a pair of earrings at Windsor at Brookfield Square Mall, 95 N. Moorland Road, during a school field trip about 2 p.m. Nov. 26.

8An employee at JC Penney at Brookfield Square Mall, 95 N. Moorland Road, allowed her cousin to purchase about $1,500 worth of clothes for $14 about 4 p.m. Nov. 26. The employee was arrested for theft and the cousin for retail theft; both cases were referred to the district attorney's office.

9Two women were arrested for retail theft after they filled up two carts at T.J. Maxx, 12575 W. Capitol Drive, then ran out of the store with the merchandise about 6:30 p.m. Nov. 30.

DRUG POSSESSION

10A plastic bag with a small amount of marijuana was found in the corner of a stairwell at Brookfield East High School, 3305 Lilly Road, about noon Nov. 25.

OTHER

11A Milwaukee man was arrested for disorderly conduct about 3 p.m. Nov. 25 after he opened a bag of chips at Pick 'n Save, 12735 W. Capitol Drive, and dumped them out as he walked out without paying for them, then returned and put $2 on the counter.

Town of Brookfield

THEFT

12A Brookfield man in the 20100 block of Linden Lane suspects a family member stole up to $5,993 from his account in fraudulent transactions, as well as several prescription pain pills. The man, who contacted police Nov. 13, was also missing more than $1,000 in cash, a five-diamond wedding band, a gold nugget ring and a wristwatch. Police have evidence that the woman did make several fraudulent transactions and pawned the wedding band. The case was referred to the Waukesha County District Attorney's Office.

13A license plate was stolen from a car in a driveway in the 1000 block of Thornridge Court between 11 p.m. Nov. 23 and 1 a.m. Nov. 24.

DRUG POSSESSION

14A Waukesha woman was arrested for possession of a pipe she said she used to smoke marijuana at La Quinta, 20391 W. Bluemound Road, about 2:30 p.m. Nov. 23 after an officer came to her room because her mother was worried she was being held against her will.

OTHER

15A car parked in a driveway in the 21700 block of Mary Lynn Drive was vandalized between 9 p.m. Nov. 22 and 11 a.m. Nov. 23. It had a broken windshield and several broken windows, a flattened tire and dents in the metal.

Village of Elm Grove

BURGLARY

16TWP Architecture, 13100 Watertown Plank Road, was broken into before the morning of Nov. 25. Windows were broken, the power was cut, and computers were stolen.

THEFT

17A man was arrested for taking mail from a house in the 1000 block of Highland Drive about 5 p.m. Dec. 1. Police approached him when he was holding out his thumb, appearing to be hitchhiking. The man put the mail in a ditch as police approached, and said he had picked it up from the roadway. He also was cited for prowling.

DRUG POSSESSION

18A man was arrested for possession of a marijuana blunt and 0.1 grams of marijuana at Bluemound Road and Bishops Way Drive at 10:46 p.m. Nov. 26 after an officer who pulled him over for a traffic stop smelled it and called in a canine unit.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

19A Wauwatosa woman was arrested for drunken driving at Bluemound and Sunnyslope roads about 9:30 p.m. Nov. 28 after another driver suspected she was drunk and called police.
