City of Brookfield

THEFT

1A steering wheel was taken from a car parked in the 13000 block of Capitol Drive between 5 p.m. March 9 and 6:45 a.m. March 10, causing $200 in damage.

2A 19-year-old Milwaukee woman and a 37-year-old Milwaukee man were arrested for retail theft for attempting to steal baby formula and liquor from Pick 'n Save, 12735 W. Capitol Drive, at 8:20 p.m. March 12.

3Two women were seen taking $125 worth of baby clothes and fleeing from Old Navy at Brookfield Square Mall, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 11:14 a.m. March 13.

4A 47-year-old woman was arrested for retail theft after manipulating the scale while purchasing a salad at the self-checkout at Metro Market, 17630 W. Bluemound Road, at 12:10 p.m. March 13.

5Two 16-year-old girls were cited for retail theft at JC Penney at Brookfield Square Mall, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 4:57 p.m. March 14. The value of the items was unavailable.

6A 24-year old woman and an 18-year-old woman were cited for retail theft after concealing items while in a fitting room and leaving JC Penney at Brookfield Square Mall, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 1:19 p.m. March 15. The value of the items was unavailable.

7Twenty bras, a total value of $1,100, were taken from Victoria's Secret at Brookfield Square Mall, 95 N. Moorland Road, between 2 p.m. March 15 and 3 p.m. March 16.

8A 20-year-old Wauwatosa woman was arrested for retail theft after taking a purse and other items from Kohl's Department Store, 2315 N. 124th St., at 7:18 p.m. March 16.

9A 20-year-old Hartland woman was arrested for retail theft, obstructing an officer, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of heroin at Pick 'n Save, 12735 W. Capitol Drive, at 5:43 p.m. March 17.

Police responded to three calls related to domestic disputes last week.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

10A 35-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, his second offense, at Interstate 94 and Brookfield Road at 12:53 a.m. March 15. His blood-alcohol content was 0.18.

OTHER

11A 31-year-old Milwaukee man and a 36-year-old Milwaukee woman were cited for keeping open intoxicants in a motor vehicle after officers found cups of liquor and an open bottle of alcohol in the driver-side door of the car during a traffic stop at Barker and Watertown Roads at 8:27 p.m. March 9.

ASSAULT

12A 15-year-old boy was arrested for battery, disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property after destroying photos, papers and a digital camera and screaming profanities in the 1000 block of Madera Circle at 4:58 p.m. March 14.

13A taxi driver was physically assaulted in the 13200 block of Watertown Plank Road at 8:53 p.m. March 17 when a passenger in the taxi became upset that he was not taken to his destination before other passengers in the same taxi. The driver said the man punched him several times with a closed fist, exited the car and ran away.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

14A 36-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving at Church Street and Juneau Boulevard at 11:34 p.m. March 16. The man failed field sobriety tests, but refused to take a breath test. He was taken to the hospital for a blood draw so his blood-alcohol content could be determined.
