City of Brookfield

THEFT

1A Brookfield man reported $229 was stolen from an unlocked van in the 17000 block of Judith Lane between Dec. 7 and Dec. 10.

2Two display phones valued at $599 and $799 were stolen from U.S. Cellular, 16720 W. Bluemound Road, Dec. 9. The thefts were captured on surveillance video.

3A woman's wallet was stolen from her purse as she shopped at Pick 'n Save, 12735 W. Capitol Drive, Dec. 11. One of the credit cards later was fraudulently used at a nearby Target.

4A woman's wallet was stolen from her purse at Fuddruckers, 16065 W. Bluemound Road, between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Dec. 12. A driver's license and five credit cards were taken. One of the credit cards later was fraudulently used at a nearby Target.

5A woman's wallet was stolen from her purse at Pick 'n Save, 12735 W. Capitol Drive, between 2 and 2:30 p.m. Dec. 12. A driver's license and several credit cards were taken.

6A total of $120 was taken from three unlocked vehicles in the 17900 block of West Burleigh Road between 10 p.m. Dec. 12 and 6 a.m. Dec. 13.

7A purse was stolen from a locked minivan outside the Brookfield Indoor Soccer Complex, 19485 W. Lisbon Road, Dec. 12. Credit cards that had been in the purse later were fraudulently used at a Wauwatosa Target, West Allis Target and a Brookfield gas station.

8A resident reported a package worth $25 was taken outside an apartment door in the 18000 block of Hoffman Avenue either Dec. 12 or Dec. 13. The incident was reported Dec. 15.

9A 44-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for taking a cash register from Pick 'n Save, 12735 W. Capitol Drive, Dec. 13.

10A 21-year-old man was arrested for retail theft for taking a $50 videogame remote controller from Sears, 115 S. Mooreland Road, at 1:58 p.m. Dec. 13.

11A 21-year-old Brookfield man was arrested for retail theft at Sears, 115 S. Mooreland Road, at 5:22 p.m. Dec. 13. The man was an employee of the store.

12A 24-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for retail theft at Burlington Coat Factory, 12575 W. Capitol Drive, at 7:20 p.m. Dec. 13 after removing two tags from clothing at the store.

13Mail was taken from a mailbox in the 3800 block of Westwood Court on Dec. 14. Police found seven opened Christmas cards in a sewer on that block. It's unknown if any money or checks were stolen from the cards.

14Two mail-order movies were taken from a mailbox in the 14700 block of Hyland Drive on Dec. 14. The labels for the movies were found in a nearby sewer.

15An air-quality control counter was taken from an unlocked car in the 2400 block of Memorial Drive between 6:30 p.m. Dec. 14 and 9 a.m. Dec. 15. Loss is estimated at $4,000.

16Two minors were arrested for retail theft for taking merchandise from J.C. Penney and H&M at Brookfield Square, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 6:34 p.m. Dec. 15.

17An employee's cellphone, valued at $650, was taken from a counter at AT&T, 3825 N. 124th St., at 3:36 p.m. Dec. 16. Surveillance video captured the image of a man with dreadlocks and wearing a sweatshirt taking the phone.

DRUG POSSESSION

18A 25-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of THC during a traffic stop at North Avenue and Pilgrim Road on Dec. 9. A sleeping 4-year-old child was seen holding a bag of marijuana in the back seat of the car.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

19A 34-year-old Elm Grove woman was arrested for drunken driving, her fourth offense, after witnesses reported seeing her hit a median and drive away in the 2100 block of North Calhoun Road at 9:44 a.m. Dec.15. Her blood-alcohol content was not available.

VANDALISM

20A witness told police an employee at Enterprise Credit Union, 15850 W. Bluemound Road hit a car parked in the business's parking lot and drove away, causing minimal damage Dec. 11.

21Four hinges and locking mechanisms valued at $230 were stolen from fences at Mary Knoll Park, 615 S. Sunny Slope Road, between Dec. 11 and Dec. 13.

22Christmas lights were cut at a home in the 300 block of Rosedale Drive between midnight and 11:30 a.m. Dec. 15.

OTHER

Police made two arrests related to domestic disputes last week.

Town of Brookfield

DRUNKEN DRIVING

23A 34-year-old Wauwatosa woman was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, in the 20300 block of West Bluemound Road at 2:27 a.m. Dec. 9. Her BAC was 0.14.

Village of Elm Grove

BURGLARY

24A condominium was broken into in the 13300 block of Bluemound Road between 7:30 a.m. and 10 p.m. Dec. 16. The owner found the back door open and a safe missing from the condo.

25A wallet was taken from a home in the 1000 block of Terrace Drive at 11:09 p.m. Dec. 16.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

26A 26-year-old Big Bend man was arrested for drunken driving, third offense, in the 1200 block of Pilgrim Parkway at 12:26 a.m. Dec. 16. His BAC was 0.24.

27A 24-year-old Brookfield man was arrested for drunken driving at Bluemound and Elm Grove roads at 1:56 a.m. Dec. 16. His BAC was 0.24.

OTHER

Police made one arrest related to a domestic dispute last week.
