Elmbrook plans info sessions on 2011-12 budget March 17

The Elmbrook School District will host a series of listening and feedback sessions on the 2011-12 budget at 9 a.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. March 17 at the Central Administration Office, 13780 Hope St.

The sessions will provide an overview of Elmbrook's budget outlook given recent developments with the state budget-repair bill and biennial budget.

District budget scenarios will be presented, followed by question-and-answer and feedback opportunities.

School Board candidate forum planned in Elmbrook

Candidates for the three Elmbrook School Board seats up for election this spring will participate in a candidate forum at 7 p.m. March 21 at the Central Administration Office, 13780 Hope St.

Dick Brunner and Ken Moe are running for the Area I seat currently held by Gary Jones, who is not running for re-election. Incumbent Kathryn Wilson and challenger Sandra Schultz are running for the at-large seat.

School Board President Tom Gehl is unopposed for the Area III seat.

The election will take place April 5. All district residents can vote for all seats.

Milwaukee Montessori School to hold 50th anniversary gala

Milwaukee Montessori School will hold its 50th anniversary celebration at 6 p.m. March 26 at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee, 333 W. Kilbourn Ave., Milwaukee.

The event will feature hors d'oeuvres, dinner and silent and live auctions. Tickets are $75 per person.
