It spreads rapidly, overtaking wildflowers and native tree and shrub seedlings.

There will be a garlic mustard pull and buckthorn removal day, from 9 a.m. to noon May 12 at Mary Knoll Park, 615 S. Sunnyslope Road. Any interested individuals should meet at the tennis courts.

To register, call the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Office at (262) 796-6675. Registration is not mandatory, but requested.

Bring gloves and wear outdoor apparel.
