St. John Vianney to host Red Cross blood drive

St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 1755 N. Calhoun Road, will host a Red Cross blood drive from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 8.

A blood donor card or driver's license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 or older, weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood.

Pets can pose with Santa at humane society

The Elmbrook Humane Society, 20950 Enterprise Ave., is hosting an event at which pets can have their photo taken with Santa from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 8.

Pets also can have their photo taken with Santa from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 15 and Dec. 16 at PetSmart, 585 Main St.

Experience art-making as prayer during workshop

The Notre Dame of Elm Grove Maria Conference Center, 13105 Watertown Plank Road, will host Art-Making as Sacred Presence from 9:45 to 11:45 a.m. Dec. 8 and from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 12.

The program is open to the public and offers participants the opportunity to experience art-making as prayer, as a visual means of connecting with universal energy in body, mind and spirit.

The cost is $7.
