Kristin Scott and Joseph Harwood of Brookfield were married Nov. 6, 2011, at St. Mary Visitation in Elm Grove.
Parents of the bride are Stephan and Nancy Scott of Pewaukee. The groom's parents are John and Joanne Harwood of Elm Grove.
The Rev. Laurin Wenig officiated the 1 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the Milwaukee Athletic Club.
The bride wore an ivory, mermaid-style gown and carried a bouquet of white roses.
Jessica Johnson of Pewaukee, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Katie Murlas of Chicago, Kimmy Counsell of Brookfield, Kelly Wentz of Wauwatosa, Emily Talebi of Milwaukee and Tanya Kessenich of Indiana. Flower girl was niece Payton Wentz of Wauwatosa.
Patrick Matola of Elm Grove, best friend of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Ryan Huebner, Matt Flannery and Austin Brucks of Milwaukee, Matt Pyzck of Chicago, and Mitch Myster of Green Bay. Ring bearer was nephew Owen Counsell of Brookfield.
The bride earned her degree in human resources from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a recruiter with Aurora.
The groom earned his degree in business management from Edgewood College in Madison. He is employed with Harwood Associates Inc. in Brookfield.
The engagement took place one year before the wedding as a surprise on the steps of the Capitol in Madison, where both the bride and groom attended college.
