Tammy and Kevin Bell of Brookfield are the parents of Logan Bell, born Dec. 9, 2011, at Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls. He was 9 pounds, 3 ounces, and 20.25 inches long. He joins sister Asha, 11, and brother Kevin Jr., 8.

The following graduates earned bachelor's degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in December: from Brookfield, Sara Habermeyer, communication, Angela Hudson, sociology, Kelly McCarthy, mathematics, Benjamin Thompson, information systems, and Lauren Vrany, Spanish; and from Elm Grove, Allison Mater, kinesiology.

Kevin Windom of Brookfield earned his bachelor's degree in human services from Springfield College in Massachusettes in December.

Richard Smith of Elm Grove earned his associate degree in golf complex operations and management from the Golf Academy of America in Myrtle Beach, S.C., in December.

Kelly Holden of Brookfield made the fall semester dean's list at Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas.

Molly McGowan of Brookfield made the fall quarter dean's list at Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia.

Tyler Cobb, Mark Hymer, Laura Petrie, Andrew Regent-Smith and Elizabeth Wissing of Brookfield made the fall semester dean's list at St. Norbert College in De Pere.

Elizabeth Vander Woude of Elm Grove made the fall semester dean's list at Northwestern College in St. Paul, Minn.

Clare Elfelt of Brookfield, a student at the University of Dallas in Irving, Texas, has been awarded a study-abroad scholarship for the spring 2012 semester. She will study at the University of Dallas' Eugene Constantin Campus at Due Santi (Two Saints), a historic district south of Rome, Italy.
