Shannon McChesney of Libertyville, Ill., and Steven Wyman II of Brookfield are planning a wedding.

Parents of the engaged couple are Chuck and Cathy McChesney of Libertyville and Greg and Christy Wyman of Brookfield.

The bride-to-be is a 2004 graduate of Libertyville High School and earned her degree in Spanish and molecular biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2008. She is a medical student at Rush Medical College.

The future groom is a 2003 graduate of Brookfield Central High School and earned his degree in mechanical engineering at UW-Madison in 2008. He is an engineer at Lyondell Chemical in Morris, Ill.
