Margaret Ann Herrington and Terry Gerard Trushel were married on July 26, 2009, on the shores of Lake Michigan at the Illinois Beach Resort in Zion, Ill.

Parents of the bride are Patricia Herrington of Brookfield and the late Jack and the late Therese Herrington. Parents of the groom are the late Richard and the late Elizabeth Trushel.

Thomas Hart, uncle of the bride, officiated the 11 a.m. ceremony, which was followed by brunch on the resort lawn.

The bride wore a white all over lace sheath trumpet skirt, ruched bodice, jewel beaded empire waist gown with sateen straps and a chapel-length train. She carried a hand-tied white bouquet of fresh roses, calla lilies and hydrangeas accented with pink roses. Mike Herrington, brother of the bride, escorted her.

Best woman was Joy Hecht, friend of the bride.

Best man was Thomas Russell, friend of the groom.

Ushers were Jake and Alex Herrington.

Flower girls were Katie Soboleski and Mary Clare New Bundalo. Ring bearers were Jack and Colin Herrington.

The bride, who earned her master's degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1992, is self-employed.

The groom, who earned his master's degree in speech communication from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 1985 and his doctorate in chiropractics in 1993 from Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, Mo., is also self-employed.

The couple honeymooned in St. Lucia. They reside in Sedona, Ariz.
