Bernice A. Hansen

Bernice A. "Bernie" Hansen (nee Cobus) of Brookfield died June 18, 2009, at age 82.

She was a member of St. Dominic in Brookfield for more than 50 years and a member of New Beginnings Group.

She is survived by her children, Mary (Leonard) Lowe and Thomas (Dawn) Hansen; grandchildren, Kristina (Adrian) Lowe, Jason Hansen (April Rawski) and Jon Hansen; great-grandchildren, Connor and Brady; siblings, Jerry, Jan (Fran) and Michael (Debbie) Cobus; sister-in-law, Ruth Hansen-Swanson; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John; sisters, Florence Wagner, Patricia Kanziora and twins Betty Jane and Mary Jane; and sister-in-law, Lucy (Leo) Tauber.

Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated June 24 at St. Dominic Catholic Church, Brookfield. Private entombment was at Wisconsin Memorial Park.

Memorials are suggested to Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare, Circle of Life Foundation.

The family thanks the caregivers at Brookfield Gardens and Franciscan Woods for the loving care given to Bernie.

Church and Chapel Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
