Sara Ring Blumenfeld

Sara Ring Blumenfeld died June 11, 2009, at age 54.

She was born July 13, 1954, and grew up with her family in Elm Grove. She graduated from Brookfield Central High School. Sara then received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Arizona. She worked as a furniture and design consultant for many years in Milwaukee and Chicago. Her many interests included art, antiques and working with children. She was also a dog lover like her father.

She is survived by her mother, Helen Maree Ring of Brookfield; brother, James Hilton Ring Jr. of Los Angeles; sisters, Nancy Wilson Ring of West Allis, Alison Mai Gallagher (nee Ring) of Golden, Colo., and Jamie Ring Fryrear of Indianapolis; brother's partner, Robert J. LaDuca; brothers-in-law, John Q. Gallagher and David William Fryrear; nephew, William Hilton Fryrear; nieces, Anna Mai Gallagher, Alyssa Catherine Gallagher and Julia Elizabeth Fryrear; former husband, Clifford J. Blumenfeld of Gurnee, Ill.; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Hilton Ring, who passed away in 1990.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held in the Milwaukee area this fall.

Donations are suggested to the Milwaukee Art Museum - Children's Education Programs.
