July 7, 2009 | 0 comments

Dorothea S. "Dodie" Thiem (nee Glasenapp) of Waukesha, formerly of Elm Grove, died June 22, 2009, at age 100.

She was passionate about everything and perfectionism surfaced in all she did. She loved sharing beauty with others. Her fabulous, gentle style and grace touched everyone, yet there was an inner strength that carried her though adversities.

She is survived by her children, Darea (the late Grant) Schwartz and Deborah (Rick) Rollo; grandchildren, Mathew (Paula), Jarrad (Kelly) Schwartz, Dorothea (James) O'Hare, Simone (Anthony) Petitjean, Elizabeth (John) Darland, Colleen Rollo, Tracy and Darrin (Amy) Thiem; great-grandchildren, Scarlet, Violet, Dalton, Grant, Esme, Ava, Max, Liam, Joe, Elsa, Jaiden, Daniel and Mia; nephew, Rick Goshgarian; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Darold; son, Douglas; and sister, Ruth Goshgarian.

Service was June 25. Private graveside services were at Pinelawn Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested.

Becker Ritter Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
