Patricia J. "Pat" Bashaw of Brookfield died June 2, 2009, at age 65.

She was born in Niagara Falls, N.Y., and graduated in 1961 from Munising High School, Munising, Mich. She then went on to graduate from Northwestern University in 1965 and DePaul Law School in 1969. She was an attorney for the Internal Revenue Service, retiring with 28 years of service.

Pat and Joe enjoyed spending time at camp on Lake Superior. She was a world traveler, but family was her great joy.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Joe; children, Jeff (Kelly), John (Melissa), Christine and Kathleen; grandchildren, Jack, Wesley, Olivia, Morgan and Ella; brothers and sister, Jon (Lynn) Haag, Peter (Deborah) Haag and Pamela (Bill) Hughes; Jan Haggerty, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Wanda Haag of Munising; and daughter-in-law, Andrea Bashaw (nee Hunziker).

Service was June 6. Graveside service was at La Belle Cemetery, Oconomowoc.

The family thanks the staff at Froedtert Hospital and Dr. Mark Kaminski in Ann Arbor, Mich., for their care. They thank Dr. Christopher Bredeson for his outstanding care and compassion.
