Arthur J. Cerqua

Arthur J. "AJ" Cerqua of Brookfield died March 12, 2009, at age 81.

He retired after 40 years of service with L.M. Berry & Co. Yellow Pages. He was a proud Army veteran of World War II as a military policeman.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, June (nee Bartel); children, Craig (Cathy), Steven (Tammy) and Jill (Steve) Dockery; grandchildren, Josh, Justin, Jon, Jake, Lindsey, Brett, Gina, Jackson and Marshall; great-grandchildren, Lily and Jalen; brother, Tom (Ferne) Cerqua; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tobia and Angeline Cerqua; and brothers and sisters, Elizabeth, Lucille, Frances and Lewis.

Funeral service with military honors was March 18 at Wisconsin Memorial Park Chapel of the Chimes, Brookfield. Private cemetery services were held.

Memorials are suggested to the Wheaton Franciscan Hospice.

Becker Ritter Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
