Kopesky-Cardo

Dec. 19, 2013

Teri Kopesky Kinart of Brookfield and John M. Cardo of Sussex were married Sept. 28, 2013 at Shepherd of the Hills Church in Pewaukee.

Parents of the bride are Bob and Karen Kopesky of Menomonee Falls.

The Rev. Thomas Wink officiated the 4 p.m. ceremony.

The bridesmaids were: Ashley Kinart of Madison, Taylor Kinart of Milwaukee and Alyse Stonebraker of Sussex and the groomsmen were: Jim Cardo of Sussex, brother of the groom, Rick Roloff of Pewaukee, friend of the groom, and Cody Kinart of Milwaukee, son of the bride.

The flower girls were granddaughters of the bride Anya Stonebraker and Natalia LaCombe of Sussex.

The bride earned her degree at Milwaukee Area Technical College and works at EXIT Realty Horizons and the groom earned degrees at Milwaukee Area Technical College and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, accounting, and works as a supervisor at Perlick Corporation in Milwaukee, as a high school basketball referee and Brookfield baseball umpire.

The couple planned a honeymoon at Disney World with their granddaughters and now reside in Sussex.

The groom (a Brookfield Central High School graduate) and the bride (a Brookfield East High School graduate) met when the groom was refereeing the bride's daughter's basketball game at Brookfield East High School. They still fight over who came from the better school.
