Lindsay Michuda and Patrick McNamara of Minneapolis are planning an Aug. 20, 2011, wedding at Gesu Church on the Marquette University campus in Milwaukee.
Parents of the couple are Mike and Kathy Michuda of Brookfield and Richard and Carol McNamara of Minneapolis.
The bride-to-be, a 2002 graduate of Brookfield Central High School, graduated cum laude from Marquette University with a bachelor's degree in communication studies and elementary education in 2006. She is a third-grade teacher at College Prep Elementary School, a charter school in St. Paul.
The future groom, a 2002 graduate of Totino Grace High School in Fridley, Minn., graduated magna cum laude from Marquette University with a degree in civil engineering in 2006. He earned his master's degree in environmental engineering from the University of Texas in 2008 and is working toward his doctorate in the same field at the University of Minnesota.
