Elm Grove Junior Guild plans Breakfast with Santa

The Elm Grove Junior Guild will host its annual Breakfast with Santa from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Dec. 18 at the Elm Grove Woman's Club, 13885 Watertown Plank Road.

The event, sponsored by the Elm Grove Woman's Club and the Elm Grove Junior Guild, includes a breakfast, holiday art projects and an opportunity to sit with Santa.

Admission is $10 for adults and $7 for children. Children younger than 1 are admitted free.

Singer Nora Collins to perform at Potbelly in Brookfield

Nora Collins will perform two sets of her acoustic/folk music blend at Potbelly Sandwich Works locations in Brookfield.

The first performance will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Dec. 10 at the 17780 W. Buemound Road location.

The second performance will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. Dec. 11 at the 12455 W. Capitol Drive location.

Chiropractic clinic holding drive for Toys for Tots

Waukesha County residents are encouraged to donate new toys to the annual Toys for Tots drive being held by Settimi Chiropractice and Wellness Center through Dec. 15.

Toys can be dropped off at the clinic, 17280 W. North Ave., Suite G-102, during normal business hours.

Brookfield Civic Band, Chorus to perform at Wilson Center

The Brookfield Civic Band and Chorus will perform a winter concert at 2 p.m. Dec. 19 in the Kuttemperoor Auditorium at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts, 19805 W. Capitol Drive.

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for seniors ages 60 and older. Children 12 and younger are admitted free.

Tickets are available at the Wilson Center box office.

Christmas Clearing Council collecting toys until Dec. 15

The Christmas Clearing Council of Waukesha County is collecting unwrapped toys through Dec. 15 at toy drop-off locations throughout Waukesha County.

Toys collected will stock the shelves of the Christmas Clearing Council's annual Toy Shop, to be held Dec. 18 for children in need.

Musician Drake to perform Dec. 26 at Brookfield church

Musician David H.B. Drake will perform at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 26 at Unitarian Universalist Church West, 13001 W. North Ave.

Drake's songs can be heard on the "Simply Folk" programs on Wisconsin Public Radio, and he is the resident musician for the lake schooner Dennis Sullivan.

Play Day scheduled for Jan. 24 at Brookfield East

The Brookfield Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department is planning a Play Day on Jan. 24 in the field house at Brookfield East High School, 3305 Lilly Road.

There will be activities for all ages, including a Big Wheel Rally, a basketball shooting contest and more. Concessions also will be available.

Brookfield parks department offers snowshoeing class

The The Brookfield Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department will offer snowshoeing classes with REI of Brookfield again this year.

The classes will he held from 9 to 11 a.m. Feb. 12 at Mitchell Park, 19900 River Road.
