Get Your Motor Running to the Pet Fair This Saturday!

HAWS, Pet Fair, Ride for Rover, motorcycle, adopt, pets, Daisy Chain, Rotary Park

HAWS is "merging" 2 fun events for 1 great time this Saturday!

A FREE event, HAWS’
Pet Fair in Menomonee Falls runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on August 18th at Rotary Park (Fond du Lac Ave. west of Lilly Rd.).  This event features all things for the pet and pet lover, with more than 50 vendors and information booths, great food, prizes and activities.  Special guest Marilynn Mee of Classic Hits WKLH will host the adoptables parade, showcasing pets looking for their new fur-ever homes!  Nancy G. Photography will be on hand for pet portraits, and owners receive a free 5x7 print of their pet with a donated item from
HAWS’ Wish List.  Pets are welcome to attend with their owners, but must be kept on a 6’ lead or in a kennel/carrier.  (Owners are responsible for clean-up after their pets; attendees are invited to take the Paws Pledge for Cleaner Water.)

Making August 18th even more exciting for HAWS, the third annual
Ride for Rover motorcycle rally will also be rumbling through the area that day!  The Ride starts at Hal’s Harley-Davidson at 9:00 a.m. and ends at the Pet Fair with a party featuring live music by Daisy Chain.  This ride is open not just to motorcycle enthusiasts but to anyone who would like to support HAWS and partners Friends of M.A.D.A.C.C./B.A.D.  Register at the event website, www.rideforrover.com, or at www.hawspets.org; the fee of $20/driver and $10/additional rider include the official Ride for Rover t-shirt and a goody bag.  Visit all the Ride Stops (including Petlicious Dog Bakery & Pet Spa, Friends of Nature – Genesee and Central Bark – Sussex) and complete a “Ride Game Board” while on the road to win a flat screen TV, a party at Casa del Rio, bar tabs at other local favorite spots and more.

We hope you'll join us!
