"Leaf Machines"
My "leaf machines" do not work well: They sputter from the start,
And...are wildly inefficient,
Dropping leaves into the cart.
With self-directing motion, they stall for no good reason.
(This flaw of inconsistency
Exasperates the season)
Though I see much movement, the WORK does not get done.
My "leaf machines" start playing,
Turning labor into fun.
So, when these kids are grown and gone (if money's not a factor),
It would be nice to re-invest,
In one good garden tractor.
