We leave behind our fancy clothes, our garden, yard, and house...
The T.V. with remote control,
Computer, and it's mouse.
We take along our worn out clothes, the canopy, and tent...
Cots, bikes, fishing poles,
And campfire sticks, all bent.
We spend our time together, entertained by the unknown:
Simplicity our only guide;
Exploring on our own.
Because these days we most enjoy, are meager and austere;
I wonder why we complicate,
The balance of the year.
