Why do I like roses?
Why do I like roses? The fragrant smell does linger.
But, if I grab them without care,
The thorns will prick my finger.
Why do I like roses? Those flowers, large and bold;
They quickly wither on the stems,
When the blooms are old.
Why do I like roses? The gift says "I love you,"
I'm sorry for your loss,
Or...forgive me...it's all true.
