Ronda Larkin is a common mom with uncommon poetic perspectives.
I take whatever comes my way: I'm not good at returns.
In restaurants, I've crunched away,
On food that's charred, with burns.
In our household closets, I find items we don't need.
Why didn't I return them?
Bad purchases, indeed!
"Please, call me back," the message says, "Return my call, today."
But, now I'm just too busy;
I'll call them back, another day.
On the court...the challenge comes...and I send nothing back.
This game does overemphasize:
Returning skills, I lack.
Deficiency in these returns, has made me quite a menace:
I guess this skill is necessary,
In the game of tennis.
