Election Time Coming
At this time of year every 4 years potential candidates for City of Brookfield public offices are gearing up to prepare for the Spring (primary February, general April) elections.
It may seem far away but from November 2011 through March 2012 is only 5 months to campaign for a 4 year term.
PENN STATE
Penn State is a member of the Big Ten .the scandal involving sexual allegations with young males is terrible, if it is true.
you think this never happens elsewhere. during my high school years i was working hard to become a capable basketball player. the high school basketball coach had his favorites. i never knew but did wonder what it took to be a starter. the stronger and bigger guys were out of the loop. the coach feared them but he had a way of seeking out those kids most vulnerable (WWII and most of the men were gone).
GREEN BAY PACKERS A+
we all saw it happen before our own eyes. not just another win over the Vikings but a blow out win that was so decisive our QB got a well deserved rest. grade it A+.
this is the NFL where teams have parity, money and draft choices, where bigger markets attract bigger players and where every game means something.
TRESPASSERS AND THE CASTLE DOCTRINE
Caveat: this is a subject for which i am not an expert and my conclusions may not be legally correct.
Trespassers and the Castle Doctrine in Wisconsin are entering into a world of the twi-light zone for which there are more questions than answers. the rush to judgment by the legislature to satisfy the NRA and other open/concealed gun carry proponents will have an effect on the average homeownere, like it or not.
SUPERMAN LOSES
Superman/woman loses. poor lois lane lives to see her heroes lose the biggest game ever. COMPROMISE.
