Well, today is the day. After months of discussion and remodeling, the new Aldi store opens its doors today at 19555 W. Bluemound Road.
The entire shopping center underwent a face lift with new brick facade and architectural accents.
The Aldi store replaced the Gander Mountain store, which moved to a new location.
I know many shoppers who are pleased with this Aldi new location, because it is more convenient.
Considering the tougher economic times now, as compared with early June when this store was first discussed by the Town Board, I think the Aldi store will be a good draw for the other shops in the mall.
The Best Buy is also in the same shopping center. (It too got the face lift, but the familiar blue entrance is still there.) People might put off a trip to Best Buy if they are a little short of cash, but food is one purchase that can't be postponed too long!
I was at the Hwy 164 Aldi's twice last week. Once for regular shopping and the 2nd time to stock up on baking supplies. Aldi's had eggs for less than $1.40 a dozen and 5# of sugar for around $1.80. Each of these items were about $1.00 less than at other stores. Considering I purchased 6 of each, it was worth the 2nd trip. I don't know that I will get to this new one today; I'll be up to my elbows in cookie dough.
But what are you waiting for? Start shopping and saving, but don't forget your B, Q, and C (bags, quarter and cash or debit card.)
Never been to an Aldi's? Take a look: Just what can you find at Aldi's? Low prices for one!
