Because of the action of AFA supporters, our e-mails to Congress are nearing the 600,000 mark and growing!
Becoming energy self-sufficient is now a topic being discussed by a growing number of members of Congress and the media. But two members of Congress want government to seize control of the oil companies, a stupid idea!
- Maurice Hinchey (D-NY) has called for the federal government to seize control of oil companies. In a Washington Examiner
editorial piece, Rep. Hinchey said, "We [the government] should own the
refineries. Then we can control how much gets out into the market." [How would this help?Oil Co.s have requested more refineries, but they get shot down in Congress.]
- Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) took the same approach, saying to oil industry executives: "Guess what this liberal (referring to herself) will be about? This liberal will be all about socializing - um, uh ... will be about ... basically ... taking over, and the government running all of your companies."
Help send 1,000,000 e-mails to Congress.
If you believe Congress should allow the exploration of energy sources which would not materially affect our environment, join the nearly 600,000 other AFA supporters in sending that message to Congress! Act now before gas goes to $10 a gallon.
We have abundant energy reserves, but efforts to provide for our needs end up in court because of the environmentalists!
Congress is now beginning to act on this problem. If you have not already done so, enter your ZIP code and click "GO" to e-mail your two U.S. senators and representative. Tell them to authorize the exploration of our known energy reserves.
Forward this to friends and family and urge them to send an e-mail.
