Investing in Community Education
The Elmbrook Education Foundation supports the students at all 11 of the District's public schools through its Continuing Education Scholarship, Innovation Grant and Super Grant Programs. In addition, the Foundation has established an endowment held by the Waukesha County Community Foundation to provide a source of permanent support for Foundation programs. For more information, please refer to the Foundation's web site.
Fall Internship Opportunity with the Elmbrook Education Foundation
The Foundation is committed to helping Elmbrook students with their post-secondary education. In addition to the EEF's community wide scholarship program, we offer an internship program to provide professional work experience to assist graduates in finding future employment. Many technical schools and universities provide credit for internships but require that the student find the internship opportunity on their own.
If you know of an Elmbrook alumnus attending school locally who would benefit from this opportunity, please let them know! Additional information about the internship can be found on the volunteer page of the EEF website. Those who are interested in exploring an internship opportunity with the EEF, should email a cover letter and resume to the EEF at elmbrookeducationfoundation@gmail.com. We will be placing 1-2 fall interns (September – January) and 1-2 winter/spring interns (February-May). Those not attending school locally but interested in a summer internship in 2013 should contact the Foundation in May of 2013 to see if there is an opening.
The 2012 summer interns (pictured above) are Kate Bathurst and Melissa Shi (BCHS Class of 2012). We are sincerely thankful for their time and energy over the summer.
