Brookfield City News

Cindy moved to Brookfield in 1994 with her husband and three children in tow. It's been a very interesting seventeen years.

Have I got a photo for you

Ta da!

This is the billboard truck from that's sitting in front of The Ponds on Calhoun road not far from the train tracks. It's for the new Walmart at 124th St. & Capitol Drive in Wauwatosa.

Now the general shortcut for my response to this parked truck is LMAO, but if you've seen me lately you'll know I still have one, so instead I'll deconstruct the response with a little inside knowledge.

Like for years we didn't even have sandwich board signs until Alderman Rick Owen needed a little extra business.

And The Ponds, who surely is being paid for such a lucious sign location, is a very needy developer in our community.

And McDonald's couldn't even put up a set of Golden Arches except that I see from a recent article Brookfield is about to sell out there.

And now there's a billboard in the guise of a truck advertising for a store in Wauwatosa and likely not a thing the powers that be can do about it.

One thing is for certain: It's not Kate Bloomberg's Brookfield any longer.
