The Local TV News
The local TV news is for me the same as everyone else. The TV is easy to turn on and easy to watch, even while eating a meal or relaxing.
But it is not uplifting, although it is factual to see events unfold before your eyes.
The local TV news on any of our local channels basically shows crime, weather and sports. The rest are commercials or news comments. Once in a while there is a nice story about an act of kindness.
After watching the latest crime scenes you do not feel cheerful or safe. After watching the weather 3 or 4 times you are confused. After watching sports you see the action the Tv station selects to play.
I prefer to watch sports with the volume off because of the trite comments by the announcers and my own sense of the game.
Believe me, this is not meant to be critical and I do not have an answer, except to keep it off and enjoy the quiet of the home.
ADDED COMMENT: FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT SEE THEIR COMMENT , I AM WORKING ON THE SYSTEM TO CLEAR ALL COMMENTS FOR PUBLICATION . THE SYSTEM BLOCKS SOME UNDER THEIR OWN RULES AND I WILL PERIODICALLY REVIEW COMMENTS MYSELF.
