"STEADY AS SHE GOES", is an instruction from the Captain to the helmsman of a ship.
The Captain wants to keep the ship heading steadily on the same course regardless of the gusts of wind or cross-currents, and to maintain the current course.
The old school of politics, in the form of gusts of wind and cross-currents, attempts to stop the course of my ship.
As Captain of my Ship I am resolved to maintain the current course of direction.
The gusts of wind and cross-currents appear in all different sizes, shapes and forms.
My Ship was built from Justice and Truth and will not falter or deviate.
