TIS THE SEASON

TIS THE SEASON, to get signatures for your nomination papers for public office. nothing in these times of political unrest is so important. it is important because the people you elect will make the decisions you will have to live with and pay for.

Government is politics and politics is government. take it or leave it. some noble citizens are gearing up to take it to the ballot box and become a part of the real American dream. DEMOCRACY.

the sideliners are content to let someone else do the dirty work and have their name blemished by those who do nothing but complain.

of course, not everyone is expected to seek public office , but we all are expected to participate in the process by signing up for a cause or a candidate and contributing to the efforts of your favorite choice.

There is an election for Municipal Judge to determine who shall rule over the enforcement of our laws with a full time vigor and a quest for justice.

There is an election for Alderman/person to determine who shall best represent the interests of thy neighbors and the city at large.

There is an election for School Board to determine who shall be given the power to spend our hard earned money for improvement of our community.

gone are the days of the local forums, the local press and the local gathering places. we now must rely on modern technology to give us the differenct points of view.

So, here we go. your comments are welcome.

the next topics will focus on the upcoming elections and what you and i beleive are the issues.
