Kuttemperoor's Rose House sells for $37.50 a square foot
Not bad pricing if you can get it. The Business Journal has done three articles on the sale of the home. This one shows the new owner Bachan Singh. Mr. Singh owns gas stations.
The Rose House is still unfinished inside, which accounts for part of that bargain.
I'm going to go out on a limb and toot my own horn here for a minute. I first mentioned "Kuttemperoor" and "bankruptcy" together November 30, 2009. In November 2011 we know it's been a couple of rough years for the land barons.
Kuttemperoor wanted Swanson school as part of his empire in November 2004. I was part of a small group who worked hard to keep that from happening. What if he'd won and left Elmbrook without Swanson and without a new grade school either when real estate tumbled?
Like The Shire and developer Joe Niebler, Vince Kuttemperoor should have been told no by this city's leaders more than once.
I'm two for two. Still waiting to see how that TIF district plays out...
