PENN STATE
Penn State is a member of the Big Ten .the scandal involving sexual allegations with young males is terrible, if it is true.
you think this never happens elsewhere. during my high school years i was working hard to become a capable basketball player. the high school basketball coach had his favorites. i never knew but did wonder what it took to be a starter. the stronger and bigger guys were out of the loop. the coach feared them but he had a way of seeking out those kids most vulnerable (WWII and most of the men were gone).
fortunately i was disqualified by a rule that you cannot accept an outside of school award which i did by setting a youth club shooting record. when this coach told me i was actually relieved as i had rejected his advances to stay in the locker room after practice. the scoring record was 38 points in one game at a Boys' club tournament. the Boys' Club were good upstanding people.
many lives were ruined and the boys involved were subject to ridicule. as an aside he was a horrible basketball coach. that was my personal experience and my personal choice. some made a different choice.
often i wonder why this happens. the answer is obvious. silence, silence to protect the so called good name of an institution that is worth more than a human life.
law enforcement can only act on a complaint duly filed.
one has been duly filed.
let justice begin to act.
