Cindy moved to Brookfield in 1994 with her husband and three children in tow. It's been a very interesting seventeen years.
So the big deal at Elmbrook right now is that $1 million in necessary high school roof repairs were not included it the $60 million plus updates that were just done. If you are to believe this article at least two school board members, two who were also on the board and pushed for the referendum, are surprised the administration didn't bring the need up back when they were discussing the original bonding.
I'll remind those two that as recently as October 2009 the board was deliberating where to spend extra referendum funds.
Listen, board, I know we see eye to eye on very little, but sooner or later you'll need to come to terms with the fact that the Administration steers you like a flock of sheep. Are you ready to believe me yet?
Stop your whining. I sat through some of those planning meetings and know how easily you were swayed. You need to start spending other people's money with more respect than you would spend your own. Yes, you have to make these repairs now, but no, it's not going to be very easy to trust you until you start demanding real information from the district administrators.
The administrators are not your friends, school board. Friends wouldn't have set you up like this.
Oh, and it's time to put that 4K issue to rest once and for all. Vote it.
